Community Awareness

Everyone has a role in ending gender-based violence and the first step is to learn more about it. Our educators at Transforming Generations can come out and facilitate workshops and presentations on a range of issues related to domestic violence. Learn more about our workshops below.

  • Workshops on DV/SV 101 and the nuances in the Hmong community

  • Hosting community events to raise awareness about DV/SV and abusive international marriages/relationships

  • Build and maintain relationships with other providers in the community

Training & Education

At Transforming Generations, we know that we cannot do this work alone and in silo. We’ve learned that it truly takes a network of informed human beings to support healing, provide accountability and address domestic violence. Therefore, we are committed to supporting you and your team in your learning.

Trainings we offer:

  • Training on nuances of domestic violence/sexual violence/abusive international marriages/relationships to other providers on how to support victims/survivors from the Hmong community.

Transforming Generations can provide customized trainings to meet your specific needs. We know that domestic violence doesn’t happen in a vacuum and that there are complex intersections and nuances. For that reason many are looking for ways to address it in their communities and request for specific trainings. For example, employers are looking to get trained on identifying red-flags of domestic violence at work and learning how to create simple safety plans, as well as reviewing and implementing new policies so they can best support their employees fleeing violence.
